My iPad Air 2 won't go to my music. When i touch music icon it just takes me to my music screen with girl wearing headphones but no icon to go to my music from there like normal. I have recently updated to iOS 9.

go to Settings > Music and turn off SHOW APPLE MUSIC

NO dice on my iPad air turned it off, restarted, nope, turned it off restarted, nope, and again, still no access to any of my music

i can see the stuff I bought (recently) on iTunes , using "purchased" on the iTunes Store, but nothing but the stupid beats headphone add when I open the iPad music app ARRRRRGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How have you restarted?

Try holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons together for 7-10 seconds until you see the Apple logo.

Then move on to settings > general > reset > reset all settings

Why is this even necessary? Having to reset all my settings, which I then have to go back and reconstruct just because Apple has decided to force me to see an ad for something I have repeatedly told them I don't want, is not a good thing. It appears my iTunes Match expired with no prior notice - I gather that they want to push me into a "Music" subscription. Another great Apple benefit. My perception of the value of Apple's ecosystem is decreasing each time stuff like this happens, and it is happening a lot more frequently lately.

By the way, resetting my phone not only wiped out a lot of settings, all my music, yada yada yada, but it didn't even solve the problem. I STILL get that **** Apple Music ad with the girl with the headphones. APPLE, you officially suck.

YYup, NEVER NEVER NEVER signing up for Apple Music, and I'm seriously considering Android after. DECADES of buying only Apple products

WWhew. After an hour or so I finally got the Apple Music lady to go away. That I even had to go through this is 100% ridiculous. I have zero faith in Apple's ability to understand the customer anymore.
